This could be representative of any race where a horse bursts through on the stands side to sntach victory in a blanket finish across the track. In fact it was inspired by the AP O'Brien/Michael Tabor horse 'Power' winning at Royal Ascot in 2011 before going on the following years to win the Irish 2000 Guineas. So a very aptly name painting!
In the style of painting developed by David with the Count of Argenton they describe as 'adrenaline' painting after French jockeys Thulliez and Soumillon described their visual experience of a race as 'Tout c'est rouge' and '"et le meme pour le cheval" .
