JP McManus owned, Enda Bolger trained and JT McNamara ridden Garde Champetre is featured in this seasonal image of the December Cross Country race at Cheltenham which was run in freezing fog. As the runners come down the chute , jockeys discussing the race, the steam of their mounts' exertions and the snorting nostrils are caught in David's trademark atmospheric style.
