“Jack the Lad” (Edition 250)
380x270mms
This is based on a real incident at Newbury, when a horse, a couple of hours before racing, was being walked around the paddock. His friend the Jack Russell was say astride him the whole time and David Dent was lucky enough to be there to witness what is a truly endearing image of animal relationships:
Human, horse and dog. The horse was called “Be Fair” and was trained by Cantillon, but his only previous visit to the races he had got worked up. So the jack Russell accompanied him and then he was fine. Horses can bond like this with many animals, and are regularly accompanied to the races by sheep, goats, dogs, small ponies, cats and even rabbits. A very nice giclee with artists enhanced original work. David Dent
