“Dance with the Devil: The Taxis; Velka Parducicka”
520x230
A really spectacular image of the most awesome steeplechase fence in the world, the Infamous Taxis fence in the Czech Grand National: The Velka Pardubicka. A horse needs to jump a massive nine metres to clear this fence and ditch, and the resulting melee on landing can produce spectacular action.
It is a credit to the racecourse, the professionalism of the trainers, the athleticism and bravery of horses and riders, that no horse has been injured there in many years now. Those who jump this obstacle are truly worthy of the title Heroes; both horses and riders.
Entitled “Dance with the Devil”, it is about horse and rider in awesome ballet over the yearning chasm of hell.
A truly stunning image and a must have for any collector of images of the horse. Only when you view this can you really respect what the horse is capable of.
