One of the 2017-2019 period's greatest Flat horses , winning twice at Royal Ascot in a week, is celebrated in mid air action by DM Dent with Harry Angel, at Ascot in 2017 with William Buck up in the Godolphin colours trained by Charlie Appleby.
Harry Angel , champion sprinter as a three year old, winner of the Darley July Cup and Haydock Sprint Cup , trained by Clive Cox, also joined the Godolphin team later. Both are now retired to stud after glittering careers.
This started out as a large sketch for an oil painting but the artist became so absorbed in it, it ended up as a finished piece in itself. Ink and acrylic used as watercolour and oil, with ink, puts in somewhere between the two mediums. A bold, striking piece of Art with a great degree of dynamism and movement with the best qualities of oil and watercolour.
